The Urine Toxic & Essential Elements Test evaluates exposure to toxic metals and the bodys retention and excretion of essential elements. A pre-test measures metals currently circulating and being excreted, while a post-test assesses net retention after using a chelator like EDTA, DMSA, or DMPS. This test helps identify chronic low-level metal exposure, monitor detoxification therapy, and assess kidney function and nutritional status.
It is useful for conditions such as cardiovascular disease, fatigue, impaired glucose tolerance, inflammation, kidney dysfunction, and toxic element exposure.
Both pre- and post-tests must be ordered separately for a complete analysis.
