What can pollution do to us?
What can pollution do to us?

Fine PM measuring less than 2.5 micrograms (PM2.5) is one indicator of outdoor pollution levels.

Experts estimate exposure to PM2.5 contributes to more than 6 million deaths worldwide and plays a large role in increasing the risk of stroke, lung cancer, and heart attack. Although many developed countries have made significant moves toward reducing air pollution, developing countries have fallen further behind as they struggle for economic growth.

How does air pollution affect our health?

Our physical and psychological wellbeing is affected differently by the kind of air pollution we are exposed to. There are many organs and bodily functions that can be harmed, the consequences including:

  • Respiratory diseases, Allergy, Asthma
  • Cardiovascular damage,
  • Fatigue, headaches, and anxiety
  • Constant Irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat
  • Damage to reproductive organs
  • Clogs pathways of detoxification such as liver, spleen, and blood
  • Nervous system damage and associated symptom manifestation

Air Purification

A high-quality air purifier using photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) is one of the good technologies available. Rather than merely filtering the air, PCO actually cleans the air using ultraviolet light. PCO transforms the pollutants into nontoxic substances

Avoid hanging dry-cleaned clothing in your closet as soon as you bring them home. Instead, hang them outside for an entire day or two if possible. Try to find if an eco-friendly dry cleaner in the city using some of the newer dry cleaning technologies, such as liquid CO2.

Plants that help purify the Air

  • Devil’s Ivy or pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
  • Spider Plant (Chlorohytum Comosum)
  • Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum)
  • Philodendron
  • Chrysanthemums (Chrysanthemum morifolium)
  • Golden Pothos (Scindapsus Aures)
  • Snake Plants (Sansevieria Trifasciata ‘Laurentii’)
  • Boston Fern (Nephrolepis Exaltata)
  • Dendrobium Phalaenopsis
  • Areca Palm (Chrysalidocarpus Lutescens)
  • Gerbera Daisies/African Daisies (Gerbera Jamesonii)
  • Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera)

How to Protect Your Health

  • “When you see in the newspaper or hear on the weather report that pollution levels are high, it will be useful to limit outdoor time.
  • When you do exercise outside, stay as far as you can from heavily trafficked roads. Then shower and wash your clothes to remove fine particles.
  • If the air quality is bad, stay inside with windows closed.
  • Wear natural organic sunscreen. When ultraviolet radiation comes through the weakened ozone layer, it can cause skin damage and skin cancer.

How can you identify the level of toxins in your body

We at Freedom Age work with our patients in identifying the level of toxins intracellularly with various specialized testing such as

  1.  Oligoscan
  2. Organic Acid Testing
  3. Food intolerance Testing
  4. Comprehensive Stool Testing
  5. Circulating Tumor cell Testing etc.

Once we identify the underlying defect in the body we have the protocols to help intracellular detoxification with the help of IV Detox Therapy, Diet corrections, and oral detox whichever is applicable.
