CBD is legalized in many states in the United States as well as in some states in India. If we remove CBD from THC coming from the Cannabis plant, CBD is now legal to us as nutritional supplements.
Let us understand the physiological effects of CBD on the human body.

CBD is not just another nutritional supplement but is much more than that to create total homeostasis in your body.
CBD has been identified to be very important for human physiology.
To comprehend this clearly let’s understand how our health can be the outcome of perfect homeostasis in our body. absence of disease does not mean one is healthy. when we talk about the immune system, perfect homeostasis is when anti-inflammation and inflammation are in balance, similarly, when we talk about the nervous system a perfect balance between inhibitory i.e. GABA and excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate and when we talk about endocrine system catabolic hormones that breakdown tissue and anabolic hormones that build up tissues are in balance, we have perfect homeostasis. when we talk about our oxidative system anti-oxidation and oxidation of the tissue have to be in perfect balance too.
Therefore our entire physiology has to be under constant homeostasis or balance. the stronger your body’s capacity is to be in balance the healthier you are.
Whenever a pharmaceutical drug is prescribed to you, it only works on the symptoms, and not on the system, THIS CAUSES ENORMOUS STRAIN ON HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY.
CBD instead of working on the symptoms works on the systems to balance and create homeostasis.
Our individual cells have receptors and these receptors are specific for CBD, and when CBD binds to these receptors it sends s signals to the deep inside of our cells.
CBD has an effect on the nucleus of our cells where proteins are made and it modulates the transcription of 1100 genes to make signaling molecules to naturally reduce the inflammation in our central nervous system, by making anti-inflammatory proteins.
Therefore clearly CBD upregulates the genes that create anti-inflammatory biochemicals in our body and downregulates the genes that create inflammatory biochemicals in our system.
This also upregulates the GABA system to balance out the excitatory neurotransmitter Glutamate.
The bottom line is CBD causes a cascade of homeostasis in the Immune, Nervous and Endocrine system because we have a system in our body called the Endocannabinoid system which gets activated with CBD.
